Bush out of the White House. I knew about his tapeworms, avarice, greed, cowardice, bigotry, ignorance and &#8220;Compassionate Conservatism&#8221; before his election since I am a native Texan and not an ivy-league import for political purposes. I never thought I&#8217;d have to be ashamed to be an American, but that was before my beloved country and my tax dollars under this president launched a pre-emptive attack on the Iraqi people and followed it with mass-murder, torture and illegal occupation abroad and illegal spying and suppression of dissent and voter rights here within the United States. For the first time in my long life I have to blush and hang my head in shame because I am an American.
