My father was never around, cheated on my mother, drank too much, so I did not trust them. I was even cruel at times, wanting to distance myself from them and their interest in me. I had so little respect. I&#8217;ve met someone I love and respect now, a good man, who has had patience with me, and so I can see it all, that it came from hurt in me.
